I am a strong believer that you can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes. Eyes can hide a lot, but they can also give a lot away. I think eyes are sometimes more capable of showing who a person really is than words are....Who Am I? (<<click to find out!)

Love Bug...

This is a recent Etsy purchase and I must say...I LOVE IT. I like that it makes people do a double-take. I imagine they're thinking "Does she have a bug on her?...oh, no...it's just her necklace. What a weirdo." They probably aren't thinking that at all, but I don't care. :)

Even A Tragedy Can Have A Silver Lining...

I was going through some of my old pictures and this one made me think of the Casey Anthony trial.  Though we may not feel that she was brought to justice here on earth, she will be. God is the only one who knows every truth about this tragedy, but I do know this; that little girl is in a much better place now. She is livin' it up in her mansion with her maker. For me, that's the silver lining in this whole mess. This photo reminds me to keep little Caylee's grandparents and other family members in my prayers. Strength is probably hard for them to find on their own right now.

Pardon me, but your friendship pagoda is on fire...

What a wonderful 4th of July I had! Blowing stuff up is always fun times.  This little beauty is called the "friendship pagoda". I wonder if whoever decided to name it this was bitter about a friendship gone wrong...I mean...it catches on fire in the end...what a sad testament to friendship, right?  Either way, really cool looking.

SuperNephew!

This little boy is probably my favorite thing on earth!

This picture was taken at Thanksgiving last year. His daddy (my brother) was flying him around over his head like he was a super hero...add a cape (carefully placed napkin) and you've got SuperNephew!

Camp life...

I can't begin to express how much fun summer camps are. I did three this year and despite the rowdy children and sleep deprivation, I'm really sad they're over. I already can't wait until next year! Here are a few highlights:

Stuart and the Revolution (comprised of Kids Camp 2011 interns and Stuart himself) entertained the campers with a lovely rendition of Kirk Franklin's 'Revolution'...It was...

The camp directors had a really great idea to do a community project with the kids this year. They painted birdhouses that are to be placed all around the campgrounds...I painted the paper table cover..heh.

I probably should have gone to bed A LOT earlier than I did, but I wanted to finish this bracelet! I'm relatively satisfied with the way it turned out. It has a vintage feel, which I LOVE! Enjoy.

**side note** I tried to post this last week (the day I actually finished the bracelet) but my computer/blogger/something else went wrong....so yeah. :)

Birds of a feather...

Recently I've had a strong urge to go to the zoo. I think it's because I was looking through some zoo pictures from last year. It really is my favorite place to be...even on 102 degree days. :)

Installations...

Today's Photo is another one that was taken while I was in Hungary. In Budapest, there was a park (of sorts) that had this giant sculptural installation. It was one of ht ecoolest things I've ever seen. It was simple, but completely different from every angle. This photo was taken from the inside. Enjoy.

The Beginning...

I felt it appropriate to start this little photo adventure off with one of my favorite pictures. It was taken in a small antiques store in Budapest. This place was magical! I have never seen a larget collection of cool 'junk' in my life! I was drawn to this shelf of cameras. The picture isn't much, but it serves as a reminder of all of the great little places that exist in the world. Great little places I love.
